The Surgery is Scheduled!!

So they schedualed little Alex's Surgery for the 26th of this month. We are going to give blood (zander and I) in case "things go south." Nothing really more to say. I am basically packing for a 5 day vaction, minus the fun. Don't really know how to feel about any of this, guess I will just have to waite and see how things go.

Surgery

Well, Alex has 2 appointments comming up. One with Dr Chariker (Plastic Surgen) on Dec 19th, and one with Dr Moriarty (Shunt Specialist) On Jan 9th. I sound find out between those Appointments (and the appointment on Dec 28th for a Head CT) when his surgery for his Crainial stynosis is. I am starting to get really scared. He has made it so far, and done so much they said he wouldn't do, but this is serious. I can't really talk to Zander about my fears, I don't want to make it harder on him. I just don't really know who to turn to. Alex's PT and OT is going OK. They are getting him a "Giraffe" which is a divice that will help him with standing and bearing weight, 2 things he really isn't doing at all. He's 14 months now, and still only 16 pounds. Still looks like a 5 month old. All just scary.

Ok, so In didn't get to update this as often as I had hoped. Ales will be a year on Oct 6th. He is about 17lbs, and has 2 teeth (almost 3!) He is supporting his head better now, still not all the way, and isn't rolling or anything like that yet. He now reaches for toys, smakes at them, that is. He still keeps his fists closed, so he isn't really grabbing things, but it is still a step. I have consoltation for his surgery (cranial stenosys) on the 28th. They tried to put him on Pedisure, but it just wasn't working out. All he does is throw it up, and what little he does keep down gives him bad diarhea. That's about all there is to report now. I will update more after our apt.

Well, I just made this site. It's 8-13-07 at 1:40am here. I will try to use this space to update on Alex's life and health, along with other family stuff. Try to check this often, I will try to write a lot :-)
